Angel is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with degrees in Special Education with a focus on applied behavior analysis, as well as in Clinical Psychology and Criminal Justice Administration. Angel is actively pursuing specializations in pivotal response treatment (PRT) and sleep disturbance in people with special needs.
Angel has worked in the field of applied behavior analysis for over 5 years and has a previous history of providing mental health treatment service to people with special needs for 17 years prior. Their previous ositions include being a Psychological Assistant in Neuropsychology (clinic and hospital settings), as an exempt Clinical Psychologist in an adult men’s prison setting, and provided psychotherapy as an intern at a non-profit middle/high school for emotionally disturbed and at-risk youth. Angel completed a doctoral dissertation titled, The Presentation and Promotion of Masculinity in American Society with an Emphasis on General Strain Theory and an Exploration of Gender Constructs: A Comprehensive Survey of the Literature and Critical Analysis.
Angel is a proud mother, aunt, sister, and cousin. Angel enjoys running, gardening, cycling, puzzling, rockhounding, hiking, spending time with family, and caring for their teacup Morkie Achilles. Angel’s pronouns are they/them.
