Gabriel Leon, LCSW, is a dedicated mental health professional with over a decade of experience in clinical social work and behavioral services. Currently completing his Psy.D. at California Southern University, Gabriel combines academic rigor with a deep-rooted passion for helping others—an ethic shaped by his upbringing in Ventura County and inspired by his Hispanic heritage.
Gabriel began his journey in human services in 2006, earning his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from California Lutheran University. His commitment to making a meaningful impact led him to pursue a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, graduating in 2013. During this time, he co-founded Novo Behavioral Services, an agency born from a graduate school project and a shared vision to transform lives through Applied Behavior Analysis. What began as a passion project between two professionals with a combined 20+ years of experience has grown into a trusted behavioral health provider now serving multiple regions across California.
In addition to his private practice work, Gabriel has served with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since 2014. His work has included conducting psychological assessments, facilitating rehabilitation groups, and providing one-on-one therapeutic support to a diverse inmate population. His clinical approach is grounded in empathy, structure, and evidence-based practices, always tailored to meet individuals where they are.
With over 11 years of experience in social work and behavioral health, Gabriel remains committed to elevating the quality and accessibility of mental health services across the state. He believes in building strong therapeutic relationships and creating systems of support that empower individuals and families to thrive.
